Keep Your Car Cool This Summer!

One of the worst parts of the summer months is getting into your steaming hot car after a long day in the sun, especially with leather interior– ouch! We have a few tips and tricks to make your car tolerable after being parked outside on a long summer day.

1.    Put up a window visor or sunshade. For extra cooling power, put them on the front AND back windshields.

2.    Use a dash cover. A fabric dash cover will keep you from having to touch hot surfaces and protect the vinyl from cracking and fading over time.

3.    Cover your steering wheel and seats with towels or blankets. Remove them when you get in the car to reveal a much cooler interior.

4.    Crack your windows slightly. Even a small crack will help ventilation. Just make sure the crack is small enough that an arm cannot fit through it!

5.    Before getting into your car, leave the doors open for a few minutes before getting in. This gives time for the hot air to escape and the cooler air to make its way in!

Always be cautious when leaving items in your car when temperatures start to rise! And never leave children, the elderly, or pets unattended in your vehicle. Rising temperatures can be deadly, so please be safe and cautious this summer!
