Kick Those Tires!

The summer heat increases tire pressure! Make sure you get your tire-pressure gauge out and make sure you’re at your recommended level of inflation.

Under-inflated tires can cause a blowout and over-inflated makes hydroplaning in the summer rain more likely.  Properly inflated tires ensure your safety, and increase your vehicle’s fuel economy by up to 3%!

 Another vital part of your tires is the tread- to check, put a penny in the tread gaps with Mr. Lincoln’s head facing down. If you can still see Abe’s head, it’s time for some new tires!
