Over 150 New Hyde Park Memorial High School alumni, friends and family came out to play golf at the 23rd Annual Gladiator Golf Classic on Sept. 13, 2013, raising $10,000 for Neil Duggan, father of two, in his fight with cancer.

Duggan's ex-football coaches, Mr. Angelo Giugliano and Mr. John Calo were in attendance to honor their former player.

“New Hyde Park is like a family and when some one needs help, we all come together to help,” Angelo Giugliano said.

New Hyde Park Classes from 1962 through 1994 were in attendance. The New Hyde Park football team of 1976, on which Duggan was a member, were there to honor Duggan and his family, his wife Carol, his son Neil and daughter Samantha.

“It was a great day of golf and a great celebration back at The Inn at New Hyde Park,” Gladiator Fund Chairman Dan Connor said.

Also in attendance was the New Hyde Park Village Mayor Robert Lofaro, and Legislator Rich Nicholello.
