We had the most horrible experience with the recent carnival at the because the Dreamland Amusements Carnival Company gave us a difficult time about getting a refund, since their incompetent staff let my daughter on the helicopter ride three times and on her fourth time, she was no longer tall enough so I needed to buy a bracelet or tickets in order for her to ride.
The same exact guy who let her on the other three times. I was furious since my daughter was so disheartened. When I asked to be refunded, they said no three times until I finally spoke to the manager in California, who subtracted the rides they had already been on.
The staff followed me to where my children were in the park to get back the bracelets from my kids who were with my sister getting lunch; and because they were on the carousel, the female staffmemeber said I was trying to take advantage.
I told by this brilliant staff member that was not the intention and to just subtract the ride cost, but because she implied I was a liar while cutting off the bracelet from my 7-year-old's wrist.
I was infuriated, and called her a(n) [expletive]! Of course, not a good face to show in front of my son, but my blood was boiling by this point since the staff was just so unpleasant and nasty.
When I told them I would let Herricks know just how they handled the situation, they all of a sudden became extremely nice, too late! I will never attend a carnival hosted by this DREAMLAND AMUSEMENT carnival company again.
No wonder the were cited just a couple of years ago for labor law violations for their Mexican workers.
Governor Cuomo slapped them with a $325,000 fine, which depicts even further what a bunch of crooks they really are! Dreamland Amusements should be called Crookland Amusements.
