New Hyde Park Museum - Project Launch

Join us for the latest news on the New Hyde Park Museum Project Wednesday night, at the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce BBQ at Walk Street Tavern.

The New Hyde Park Museum has started to happen. This project is about creating an online and "brick & mortar" museum that is dedicated to documenting the history of all of New Hyde Park. The physical documents and artifacts will be located in the in the location that was the original library. Our online news site is Facebook.com/NewHydeParkMuseum

We want to collect oral and visual histories from the people who are living here, used to live here or have relatives that have lived here.

Share with us your life and recollections of New Hyde Park. Help in joining us to build this new, worthwhile museum. You will not regret it. Let us give a legacy of history for all. For more information, please call Carol Nowakowski, New Hyde Park Village Historian, at 516-437-3726.

There are many ways you will be able to participate, including interviewing folks, video and photo editing, scanning and categorizing documents and photos and giving presentations on what is the latest news.
