Edwin G. Kribs, 85, Chiropractor

New Hyde Park chiropractor passed away on Jan. 14, 2013.

Edwin George Kribs, D.C., of New Hyde Park, passed away on Jan. 14, 2013 at the age of 85.

He was the husband of Nancy for over 57 years. He is predeceased by his daughter Karen. He is survived by his son Ken (Pam) and grandchildren Jeremy and Corinne.

A pioneer in the chiropractic profession, Kribs practiced for over 60 years in his New Hyde Park office. His passion for his philosophy of chiropractics lead him to create “Advocate Angels,” a patient advocacy group which helps patients navigate through their hospitalization and beyond.

He was a lifelong New York Giants fan and season ticket holder for over 50 years who loved going to the games with his family. His dry sense of humor and quick wit will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home. Donations in Kribs’ name may be made to Little Shelter Animal Rescue, 33 Warner Rd., Huntington, NY 11743.
