Matilda Dorothy Ferchau passed away on Jan. 2, 2013 at the age of 93.
A resident of New Hyde Park, she was the wife of Otto for over 55 years, mother of Karl Robert (Jennifer) and David Otto (Theresa), Oma of Henry Karl.
Ferchau was a gradute of Adelphi University and NYU, a former chemist for Good Housekeeping Magazine and A&S Department stores.
She was a devoted and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 40 years and recently of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, both of New Hyde Park.
A wake will be held on January 5-6 at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home with a religious service on January 7 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with interment at Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY
