Robert “Robby” Francis III passed away on Jan. 3, 2013 in a motorcycle accident.
A resident of Newport News, Virginia formerly of New Hyde Park, he was the husband of Deanna, the son of Robert Jr. and Laurie Miner. He was father to Triston, 8 years old and Gavin, 10 months and the brother of Max.
Francis was a Master-at-Arms in the Navy, stationed aboard the USS Enterprise CVN-65. He recently returned from deployment in the gulf.
An active member of Enterprise Engine Company 1, New Hyde Park Fire Department, Boy Scout, Troop 298, Theodore Roosevelt District, Francis was a New Hyde Park Memorial High School graduate from the Class of 2005.
A wake will be held Thursday, January 10 and Friday, January 11 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
