New Hyde Park resident passed away on Feb. 20, 2013.

Robert John Adams Sr. of New Hyde Park passed away on Feb. 20, 2013. He was born on Nov. 17, 1933.

He was the husband of Carol Ann; father of Robert Jr. (Lisa) & Stephen (Lisa); Poppie of Robert, Kristen, Stephen & Kathleen; brother of Nancy Pavlyshin & Frank Fehn.

Adams was the longtime Head of the Procurement Department of Sperry Gyroscope Corp. in Lake Success, NY.

He was a proud Marine and graduate of St. John's University and a life-long fan of the New York Football Giants.

A wake will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 25 at 9:15 a.m. at Notre Dame R.C. Church with interment to follow at Mt. St. Mary in Flushing, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Prep High School located at 6100 Francis Lewis Blvd., Fresh Meadows, NY 11365.
