Services Held for Retired Police Captain

Harry Exarchakis was 86.

Services were held last week for Harry Exarchakis, a retired captain of the New York Police Department.

Exarchakis was 86. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita, and was a grandfather of 12 and the great-grandfather of six.

He served in the NYPD from 1954-1988 and continued service in the CEA and the 1013 Association, an organization for retired members of the department. 

Arrangements were conducted at the , with a funeral service at St. Aidan's Roman Catholic Church and with burial Friday at Calverton National Cemetery.
