A Merry Christmas 2012 from the New Hyde Park Patch (VIDEO)

From all of us to all of you, we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

We here at the New Hyde Park Patch wish to extend our warmest wishes to all our readers on this Christmas Day.

We hope that you find peace and happiness as you and your loved ones gather this Dec. 25.

As the presents are unwrapped from under the tree, we hope that you will pause for a moment and remember the true meaning of the holiday.

With all of the devastation on the south shore of Long Island and the tragic events that have occurred in Newtown, CT, we hope that you will also remember in your thoughts and prayers those for whom this year the holiday takes a different tone.

For those readers with young children (or for simply the young at heart), as an extra gift to you this year (aside from daily news stories), are several coloring activities you can print out and enjoy at home.

Merry Christmas, one and all,

The Editorial, Reporting and Writing Staff of the New Hyde Park Patch
