Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth participated once again in the Navratri Festival on Saturday, October 20 at Herricks High School.
Legis. Bosworth, Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Lee Seeman and Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman presented citations to Co-Presidents Hetal Rawal and Minal Sheth and Executive Committee Vice President of Fundraising Hema Choksey, recognizing the effort put forth by the Indo-US Community and the Herricks High School Indian Cultural Club in maintaining their rich cultural heritage by celebrating this holiday.
Navratri, a joyous celebration symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, is an outstanding demonstration of how the proud Indian American community has taken an active role in sharing their traditions and values with the entire community.
