Bosworth Throws First Pitch at BKV 4th Annual Softball Charity Tournament

Memorial foundation helps fight against leukemia and other blood-related cancers.

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth was honored to be asked to throw out the first pitch on Saturday, September 29 at Eisenhower Park for the start of the Bevin Kalathil Varughese Memorial Foundation 4th Annual Softball Charity Tournament.

The mission of the foundation is to offer a hand in the fight against leukemia and other blood-related cancers.

Named in honor of the Varugheses’ son Bevin, who fought a valiant fight against leukemia, the foundation is led by Bevin's vision which was to strive to create awareness of leukemia, especially amongst the South Asian Community.
