Letter to the Editor: Dad’s Club Gearing Up for Another Year in 2012-13

Frank Miranda submitted the following letter.

The Dad’s Club is gearing up for another year.

With our first meeting with on Tuesday Sept., 4, 2012 we are off to a good start with putting our fundraisers together and determining which scholarships to distribute.

The Dad’s Club, which has been ’s best kept secret since it was founded in 1968, has been supporting our students with scholarships for their future education once they leave the high school. What makes up this terrific organization is just a great bunch of dads whose only objective is supporting the kids.

I have been a member of this fabulous organization since my oldest daughter started attending the high school in 2007. What I had observed from these gentleman is the consistent selfless service they provide to the community which had inspired me to do my part and rerun for the NHP-GCP School Board.

So now that I have experienced these men in action I ask everyone and anyone who is a dad to join this wonderful organization and give us a helping hand with our fundraisers.

Many hands make easy work as the Dad’s Club President Rich Schlueck says. So please come outand help us in any way you can.

We meet in the high school library on the first Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. or you can call the school at 516-488-9500 for further information.

Sincerely,

Frank Miranda
