A state commission has recommeded replacing LIPA with private utility.

Do you agree?

LIPA Replaced a Private Company LILCo because of their mismanagement of LI power needs. If we are going back to a Privatized company, there has to be competition allowed in the process. Giving someone the headache of replacing all the worn out infrastructure and equipment that has been left behind by LILCo and LIPA, on a non competitive private firm will triple out existing over priced Electric bills. Make LIPA replace and pay for their mistakes and then give the infrastructure to a conglomerate to manage and a power system that will support effeciency and lower priced electric power and bills to Long Island.

its not some crazy hard to understand problem what happened......Lipa has plenty of money...they hire what i call storm chasers or out of state crews that go to storm damaged state to state and canada... Talk to any of the crews and they say there was plenty of labor just no system to get the crews to where they needed to go and with what supplies....No organization...Lipa needs to call other electric companies in states that have these storms once a year to learn how to manage large crews.........
