Attempted Robbery On Thanksgiving
Suspects fled the Safe Sound building when the alarm was triggered.
Police are searching for the people who broke into the Safe Sound Armored at 520 Cherry Lane on Thanksgiving morning.
The attempted robbery happened at around 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 25 when an unknown number of people got into the vacant building at 526 Cherry Lane by jarring open its rear door, according to the Nassau County police report. The people then used construction materials to bust through two walls into the Safe Sound building. The robbery was foiled when the alarms subsequently sounded and nothing was reportedly taken.
The police ask anyone with information about this incident to call the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. These calls are anonymous.
