Car Runs Into Front of McDonald's

A man confused the gas and brake and ran into McDonald's on Sunday.

An elderly man ran into the on Jericho Turnpike on Sunday with a car at about 1:45 p.m. after apparently confusing the gas and brake pedals, according to a police officer.

Lawrence Anderer Jr, who owns the restaurant, was "just glad no one was hurt. I'm grateful the elderly man wasn't seriously injured."

Carlos Prieto, the McDonald's manager, said similar kinds of damage have happened four times.
