Crime Blotter: Assault with a Hanger

These are some of the reports the Third Precinct received recently.

The following are from police reports between Dec. 23 ad Jan. 4:

  • Tires and rims were taken from a 2010 Toyota blue, four-door car parked at on Hillside Avenue in North New Hyde Park on Jan. 4.
  • On Dec. 30 in Garden City Park on Jericho Turnpike, credit cards and a laptop were stolen from a car.
  • Someone was punched, assaulted with a plastic hanger and choked on New Year's Day in New Hyde Park.
