Crime Blotter: Pedestrians Struck in Garden City Park

Two women were crossing Herricks Road and were hit by a car that kept going.

Two female pedestrians, ages 32 and 34 years old, were hit by a car while crossing Herricks Road at about 9:57 p.m. Friday, according to a police report.

The vehicle, which was described by a witness as either a tan Ford Crown Victoria or a tan Mercury Grand Marquis, collided into the women just south of Hillside Avenue, the report said. The person or persons in the car left the area without identifying themselves, according to police.

Both women were taken to a local hospital by ambulance and have non-life-threatening injuries.
