Crime Blotter: Theft, Theft and More Theft

These are some of the calls the Third Precinct got between Feb. 7 and Feb. 17.

The following are some of the calls that the responded to from Feb. 7 through Feb. 17.

  • Three Bronx residents were attempting to break into a few homes in New Hyde Park on Feb. 17 between 7 a.m. and 9:43 a.m. Luis Toro, 21, of 771 Jackson Avenue, Apt. 5D; Yesenia Torres, 16, of 3128 205 St. and Brianna Gonzalez, 16, of the same address as Torres, were seen skulking around some houses when a woman called the police. The three were arrested and after an investigation, they were charged with burglary in the second degree, four counts of attempted burglary in the second degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree. They were arraigned Friday, Feb. 18 in First District Court in Hempstead. 
  • On Feb. 7, a man who had previously taken things from the gas station at 200 Hillside Avenue came back. Someone called the police and he hit that person and took their cell phone.
  • There were two instances of grand larceny at the at 1111 Marcus Avenue on Feb. 6. In one case, a gold watch and keys were left on a bench near the swimming pool. In the other situation, someone locked their locker and returned to a broken lock with a missing cell phone and iPod.
  • On Feb. 11, a cell phone, credit card and wallet were taken from an unlocked locker at LA Fitness.
  • On Feb. 13, a laptop and GPS were taken from an unlocked car.
