New Hyde Park 

In a sweep of arrests, apprehending 77 alleged criminals, a man  was arrested by.

Floral Park

A fire occurred at a home with a deep set-back at 503 Tulip Ave. on February 19 at about 1:42 a.m. The blaze allegedly started in the dryer. Fire companies from New Hyde Park, Elmont, Stewart Manor, Valley Stream and Bellrose Terrace responded to the scene.

Westbury

A car overturned in the eastbound lane of the Northern State Parkway east of exit 31 on February 19 at about 4:13 p.m. No pin was reported and one person with minor injuries was aided after removing themselves from the car.

Malverne-West Hempstead

Six cars had their . According to police, the investigation is still ongoing and there is no word on whether or not this rash of damage is related to a recent  in which 20 cars were damaged or a  in which six cars were damaged.

Malverne residents report that Thursday. Malverne Police responded to the home and contacted the Port Authority Police, who said that the fluid accidentally discharged from a plane. A further investigation will not be conducted by the Port Authority, according to Malverne Police Chief John Aresta. The discharge could be 'Lavatory Fluid,' according to Major, who described the droplets as being approximately one half to 1 inch in size and visible on his neighbors' clothing, face, porch deck and patio table.

A male and female driver were both rushed to the hospital Friday morning after they were involved in a  near the Malverne-Lynbrook border. Northbound traffic was temporarily shut down on Ocean Avenue, while cars travelling southbound were allowed to pass. Rain and slick roads could have contributed to the crash.

Hicksville 

have charged a Flushing man with counterfeiting in connection with the illegal distribution of fake DVDs. Zhan Lin, 45 of Flushing, reportedly approached two plain-clothes Bureau of Special Operations officers in Hicksville Feb. 17. He was arrested and found in possession of hundreds of counterfeit DVDs, said police.
