Garden City

Police said a man who got into a traffic dispute with another man pulled a gun and pointed it before fleeing. The incident occurred Oct.13 at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and Fourth Street. Police found the man at his apartment and he was charged with menacing, reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon. He was also charged with five additional counts of criminal possession of a weapon when it was discovered that he had additional handguns at his residence.

Port Washington

A Wyandanch man was placed under arrest on Oct. 14 at 11:01 a.m. on Main Street for multiple vehicle and traffic law offenses.

A Lindenhurst man was placed under arrest on Oct. 14 at 8:16 a.m. on Port Washington Boulevard for driving with a suspended license and an open bench warrant

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest on Oct. 10 at 2:02 a.m. on 51 S Bayles Ave for disorderly conduct.

Glen Cove

An off-duty Nassau County deputy sheriff, and former member, caught a man going from boat to boat with a flashlight at 4 a.m. on Oct. 8, stealing items from boats. The Deputy questioned the man, a Glen Cove resident, who admitted to the thefts and handed over the stolen property, which was later returned to the yacht club. Glen Cove Police were notified of the incident at 11 a.m. the next morning. No criminal complaints were signed.
