Firefighters Knock Down Vehicle Fire

Manhasset-Lakeville department responds to blaze.

The Manhassset-Lakeville Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire Thursday at Community Drive and the Long Island Expressway South Service Road.

Engine 8725 was the first piece of apparatus to arrive on the scene and began knocking down the fire. Engine 8758 arrived next to finish-off any remaining fire.

All units were released from the scene by Chief of Department James Dillon within 30 minutes.
