Firefighters Rescue Submerged Vehicle
Manhasset-Lakeville department responds to car-into-water.
On Jan. 21 the responded to a car that swerved off the roadway and into a body of water off the Northern State Parkway at the exit for Shelter Rock Road.
The two occupants of the car self-evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival and were transported to local hospitals.
Chief of Department Dillon and Deputy Chief Farrone were the first units to respond followed by Rescue 8713 and its Zodiac Boat and the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department Ambulance Unit. All units were released from the scene within 30 minutes.
