Franklin Square Duo Charged with New Hyde Park Burglary

Frank Simone allegedly stole jewelry and narcotics while Allyson Tibaldi kept watch with three-year old.

A man and woman from Franklin Square have been arrested for allegedly burglarizing two apartments on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park on Saturday, Aug. 24.

According to detectives, at about 4:32 p.m. on Aug. 24, Frank Simone, 29 and Allyson Tibaldi, 26, went to a commercial building on Jericho Turnpike with their three-year old daughter. While Tibaldi kept watch, Simone climbed to a second story landing and entered two apartments, stealing jewelry and prescription narcotics before the two fled the scene.

Both were taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Tibaldi was arrested at her residence at 2:10 a.m. while Simone was located on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore at 4:20 a.m.

They are each charged with two counts of second degree burglary and endangering the welfare of a child. Simone was also charged with third degree unauthorized use of a vehicle. They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Aug. 28.
