Garden City Park firefighters responded to the following calls July 28 – August 3.

July 28

  • 12:40 p.m. – Herricks Road and Hillside Avenue – motor vehicle accident
  • 1:32 p.m. – Nassau Boulevard and Bedford Avenue – smell of gas in the area
  • 6:10 p.m. – 1636 Marcus Ave. (NEFCU) – no permit

July 29

  • 2:40 p.m. – 77 First St. – aided person with chest pain
  • 7:11 p.m. – 346 Hillside Ave.

July 30

  • 12:57 p.m. – 102 Maple Drive – ambulance for person with difficulty breathing
  • 4:50 p.m. – Herricks Road and Washington Avenue – motor vehicle accident with entrapment 

July 31

  • 9:32 p.m. – 1 Norton Ave. – female fall victim
  • 9:58 p.m. – 3345 Hillside Ave. () – motor vehicle accident

August 1: 12:06 p.m. – 66 Lords Way, Manhasset Hills – smoke

August 3

  • 2:11 p.m. – 253 Center St. – female fall victim
  • 3:27 p.m. – 3365 Hillside Ave. – smoke detected
  • 3:57 p.m. – 500 Denton Ave. – female fall victim
  • 9:00 p.m. – 240 Center St. – brush fire in front playground
