Hillside Avenue Dairy Barn Robbed

Money and cigarettes stolen from New Hyde Park store by thief who fled on foot.

The Dairy Barn on the corner of Hillside Avenue and Franklin Avenue in North New Hyde Park was robbed Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.

According to Nassau County Police, a male white wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts and short blond hair entered the barn store on 938 Hillside Ave., took a pack of cigarettes placed them on the counter and demanded money from the 20 year old store clerk.

The thief then pushed the employee to the side and took an unknown amount of cash from the register before felling on foot southbound on Franklin Avenue and proceeded west onto Irons Place.

There were no injuries reported.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
