UPDATE: New Hyde Park 7-Eleven Robbed for Second Time in Eight Days

Hillside Avenue convenience store robbed again on August 3.

Update: Aug. 6, 11 a.m.: Nassau County Police have stated the suspect in the second robbery is a white male. They had previously reported that the suspect was a black or Hispanic male.

For the second time in eight days, the 7-Eleven convenience store at 1599 Hillside Ave. in New Hyde Park has been robbed in the early morning hours.

The initial robbery occurred at 3:25 a.m. on the morning of July 26 when a white man with a white t-shirt entered the store and demanded money.

The most recent incident occurred on August 3 at about 3:10 a.m. when according to detectives white man entered the store, approached the 23 year old male clerk at the register and demanded money.

The clerk complied and gave the subject an undisclosed amount of cash and two packs of cigarettes. The subject, who was further described as being 6’0” tall with a thin build, wearing a tan long sleeve shirt, brown pants, black sneakers and a brown t-shirt covering his face, fled the store in an unknown direction.
