New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Cell Phones, IDs and Campaign Sign

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls October 29 – November 4 in New Hyde Park.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park


Oct. 29: a cell phone was reported stolen from a location on Hillside Avenue in North New Hyde Park at 2:17 p.m.

Oct. 30: an iPhone was reported stolen from a location on Leonard Boulevard in North New Hyde Park between 3:05 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Another cell phone was reported stolen between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and a third at 4 p.m.

Oct. 30: an iPhone 5S was reported stolen at LA Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Nov. 2: a cell phone, license and cash was reported stolen from 1111 Marcus Ave. in North New Hyde Park between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. A wallet, credit cards, cell phone and identification as also reported stolen from the same location during the same time. A third incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. where a wallet, credit cards and identification was also stolen.

Nov. 2: a brown pocketbook containing credit cards and cash was reported stolen from a location on Jericho Turnpike between 8 p.m. and 11:55 p.m.

Nov. 2: assorted clothing was reported stolen at 1400 Hillside Ave. in North New Hyde Park at 2:20 p.m.

Garden City Park


Oct. 27: a cordless drill, poker chips, gel sternos, pool sticks, cigarettes and gloves were reported stolen from a home on Broadway between 11:10 a.m. on Oct. 27 and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Herricks


Oct. 30: a political campaign sign measuring 2 ft. by 6 ft. was reported stolen from Locust Lane between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
