New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Check, Diamond Ring and Identity Theft
Third Precinct police responded to the following calls October 8 – 14 in New Hyde Park.
The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
New Hyde Park
Sept. 26: A diamond engagement ring with gold setting was reported stolen on Yale Boulevard in North New Hyde Park between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Sept. 26: a resident of Sylvia Lane in North New Hyde Park reported they had been the victim of an identity theft when a fraudulent charge appeared on their credit card at 3 p.m.
Sept. 27: a check was reportedly stolen from an Eighth Avenue resident at 9 a.m.
