New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Credit Cards, iPhones and Marijuana Arrests

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls November 19 – 25 in New Hyde Park.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park


Nov. 17: A checkbook and credit cards were stolen from a home on North Fourth Street between 10 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 7:45 a.m. on Nov. 18.
Nov. 20: A credit card was stolen on Plaza Avenue between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Nov. 20: Approximately 20 iPhone chargers were stolen from the Duane Reade Pharmacy at 1596 Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 11:20 a.m.
Nov. 21: A pair of sunglasses was stolen from Sears on Union Turnpike between 2:42 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.
Nov. 22: Assorted merchandise was reported stolen from the Stop N Shop on Hillside Avenue at 3:10 p.m.
Nov. 22: An iPhone 5 was reported stolen from a location on Marcus Avenue in North New Hyde Park between 4:50 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Nov. 22: A person was arrested on Shelter Rock Road at 12 p.m. after being found in possession of two clear bags containing marijuana wrapped in tinfoil.

Williston Park


Nov. 21: A person was arrested on the corner of Hillside Avenue and Liberty Avenue at 10 p.m. after being found in possession of four clear bags containing marijuana.

Searingtown


Nov. 20: A retaining wall was broken on Titus Way between 7 a.m. on Nov. 20 and 2 p.m. on Nov. 21.
Nov. 22: an iPhone 5 with a case was reported stolen from a location on Shelter Rock Road between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Mineola


Nov. 10: A laptop computer was reported stolen at 5 p.m. from a location on Vanderbilt Drive.
Nov. 22: A Fendi pocketbook containing cash was stolen from a location on Jericho Turnpike at 1 p.m.
Nov. 22: An amount of cash was reported missing from a home on Second Street at 3 p.m.
Nov. 23: Police made an arrest in relation to a prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage on Mineola Boulevard at 10:35 p.m.
