New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Monroe Photos, Golf Clubs

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls September 17 – 23 in New Hyde Park.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park

Sept. 8 - Sept. 11: an unknown amount of money was stolen between 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 from a home on 11th Avenue.

Sept. 14: a handicapped parking permit was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of 1111 Marcus Ave. in North New Hyde Park at 2 p.m.

Aug. 15 - Sept. 15: between 9 a.m. on Aug. 15 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 15 a laptop, jewelry and wallet with an ID card was stolen from a residence on Stephen Avenue.

Sept. 19: an iPhone and a calculator were stolen from a Leonard Boulevard location between 2:20 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Sept. 19: an unknown amount of money was stolen from two registers at the Casual Male clothing store on Union Turnpike at 5 p.m.

Sept. 19: an iPhone was stolen at the LA Fitness gym at 1111 Marcus Ave. in North New Hyde Park at 8:10 p.m.

Sept. 20: a forged check was cashed at a Broadway business at 10 a.m.

Sept. 20: a wallet with cash, iPad, Nook and credit cards was stolen from a location on Jericho Turnpike between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Sept. 20: a golf bag with golf clubs was stolen from a location on Jericho Turnpike at 1 p.m.

Sept. 23: assorted over-the-counter medications were stolen on Lakeville Road at 9:20 p.m.

July 24-Sept. 20: A number of original Marilyn Monroe photographs were stolen from a location on Denton Avenue.

Sept. 20: an unknown amount of money was stolen from a location on Yorkshire Drive at 11 p.m.

Sept. 23: between 8 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 23 a cellphone charger and GPS were stolen on Broadway.

Sept. 23: between 9 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 8:20 a.m. on Sept. 23, a wallet with credit cards was stolen on Fulton Avenue.
