New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Tools, Merchandise and Christmas Tree Lights
Third Precinct police responded to the following calls December 24 – 30 in New Hyde Park.
The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
New Hyde Park
Oct 30: Staples/moulding and white oak flooring was reported stolen from a location on South Fourth Street between 8:17 a.m. on Oct. 30 and 1:05 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Dec. 20: Unauthorized checks totaling $9,455.94 were cashed at 2001 Marcus Avenue at 3 p.m.
Dec. 27: A pair of Ralph Lauren Rayban sunglasses were stolen from a location on Haddon Road in North New Hyde Park between 8 p.m. on Dec. 27 and 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 28.
Dec. 28: A man's belt and three men's watches were stolen from Sears at 1400 Union Turnpike at 7 p.m.
Dec. 28: A wallet, personal papers and credit cards were stolen at 1111 Marcus Ave. between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Dec. 29: A Michael Kores black and brown handbag containing cash, credit cards and an iPhone were stolen from a location on Hillside Avenue between 6:30 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.
Garden City Park
Dec. 25: A pair of ladies' slacks, blouses, skirts, coat, boots and dresses were reported stolen from a location on Seventh Avenue at 3 p.m.
Mineola
Nov. 29: A woman's mink fur jacket were stolen from a location on Albertson Place.
Dec. 24: Christmas lights were stolen from a home on Roslyn Road between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Dec. 25: Drill bits and saw blades, a hammer drill, sawz-all, right angle drill, extension cords, Ahug saws, Hilti core drill, and an 18 volt cordless drill were stolen from a Front Street location between 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 25 and 7:35 a.m. on Dec. 26.
Dec. 26: A black iPhone 4 was stolen on First Avenue between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Dec. 30: Assorted clothing and golf clubs were stolen from a location on Harrison Avenue at 10:30 a.m.
Williston Park
Dec. 28: Graffiti was found on the outside wall of a Hillside Avenue building between 5 p.m. on Dec. 28 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 30.
