New Hyde Park Fire Department Responds to Leonard Boulevard House Alarm

Fire reportedly started in basement of Leonard Boulevard home.

The New Hyde Park Fire Department responded to an alarm Sunday afternoon of a fire at a home on Leonard Boulevard.

The fire reportedly occurred at 6:04 p.m. in the basement of a house at 215 Leonard Blvd. Fire engines from New Hyde Park, Floral Park, Mineola as well as ambulances from New Hyde Park and Stewart Manor also responded to the scene.

Firefighters could also be seen on the second-floor porch of the home clearing items out of the second floor living space.

The fire was reportedly contained at about 6:18 p.m.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
