A New Hyde Park man was among the deaths reported on the Long Island Rail Road this past weekend.
Jose Alexi Villatoro, 22, of New Hyde Park, was struck and killed at 6:03 a.m. Sunday just west of the Merillon Avenue station in Garden City according to the MTA Police.
He was struck by an eastbound Huntington train and pronounced dead at the scene. The MTA is investigating the case as a suicide.
Victims in Seaford and a man in Queens Village whose identity has yet to be released by the MTA were also among the fatalities this past weekend.
