New Hyde Park Woman Charged with Carle Place Burglary

Kristin Gallo and Christopher Cincotta allegedly stole jewelry from 12th Street home.

Detectives from the Third Precinct have arrested a Seaford man and New Hyde Park woman on charges of a burglary that occurred in Carle Place on Wednesday, March 6 at 11 p.m.

According to detectives, Christopher Cincotta, 22, and Kristin Gallo, 22, went to a residence on 12th Street and gained entry through a rear window. The defendants then removed assorted jewelry and fled the scene.

On Thursday, March 7, 2013 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the defendants returned to the residence and entered the home through the same window. They removed jewelry and an unknown amount of U.S. currency but were confronted by a relative of the homeowner as they left. Cincotta and Gallo told the 66 year old male they were there to check on the homeowner and a neighbor had let them in. The defendants then left the scene.

The male became suspicious, checked the home and discovered items missing. He then notified police. Each defendant was located at their residence and taken into custody without incident.

Cincotta and Gallo were both charged with two counts of second degree burglary and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday, March 8.
