Police: Arrests in East Massapequa Shooting Incident

Two Amityville men charged with shooting and robbery.

Two men were arrested Thursday for a shooting and robbery that took place in East Massapequa over the weekend, Nassau County police said.

Daron Morris, 33, and Tyron Doe, 25, both of Amityville arranged to meet with the 22-year-old victim at the intersection of Clocks Boulevard and Oakley Street at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The victim knew the two men, but it was not immediately known what the meeting was about, police said.

The men demanded money from the victim and simultaneously shot him in the knee.

One of the robbers then reached into the victim's pocket and took cash.

The shot man was taken to a hospital in a private car. His injuries are not life threatening.

Morris and Doe were charged with robbery, assault, weapons possession and criminal use of a firearm.

No weapon has been recovered, police said.

Clocks blvd, what else is new? How many times have we seen this garbage go on it that part of Massapequa? I am sure the victim isn't innocent either, Ralph is 100% correct drugs are the main problem. Nassau needs to start cracking down on the drugs in this area and in the high school, something needs to be done. We are paying high taxes and need some protection from the garage like these two fine citizens in the picture. Lets me guess, no job, live in moms house. How about working for a living like a normal human being?

That's just great....,. Our kids are at practice at field of dreams and we have to worry about stray bullets from some drug deal gone bad. Something needs to be done about this, this isn't the ghetto and public housing, we have police department that is paid very well, one of the highest in the country and they are sitting a few blocks away in the TOB maintenance blog...... Come on , this crap has to stop. Clocks blvd and Oakley are yards from the field. They need to enforce that area real hard and stop being soft on the criminals, or we might as well live in the Boros.
