Police Respond to Report of Barricaded Man in North New Hyde Park

Nassau cops aid person Wednesday night.

Reports of a barricaded man on Executive Drive in North New Hyde Park prompted a response from the Nassau County Police Department Wednesday night.

According to initial reports, a man was reportedly hold up in his home at 174 Executive Drive at about 9:57 p.m., possibly wielding a shotgun, but police were unsure if the weapon was loaded.

Several police units responded to the scene as well as two Nassau County Police Ambulances.

At about 10:06 p.m. police reported that the person came out of the house unarmed and was placed in custody and taken from the scene by ambulance.

A police spokesperson stated that the call resulted in a request for aid to the man.
