Robbery at CVS in New Hyde Park

An employee was hurt during the incident.

A employee tried to stop a man from leaving the store without paying for some over-the-counter drugs on Sunday at 3:04 p.m., according to a report from the Third Precinct.

The 65-year-old CVS employee confronted the man who subsequently punched the employee in the face and then left the store at 310 Hillside Avenue, the report said. The employee was taken to and was released, the report noted.

The man who took these items is described as about 30-years-old, black, bald, stocky and he was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and leather jacket, the report noted. If you have any information about this incident, call the Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls are anonymous.
