Voting Begins for Fire/Water Commissioner in New Hyde Park
The polls have been open since 1 p.m.
The for Water/Fire Commissioner for New Hyde Park and Manhasset-Lakeville is officially underway.
The has been drawing a large crowd since opening at 1 p.m., with voters flying in and out of the doors.
Over at Firehouse No. 5 in New Hyde Park for the Manhasset-Lakeville election, volunteers manning the polls said, “This is one of the quietest firehouses.”

Since opening at 3 p.m., they have received about 20 votes, but expect more to come until closing at 9 p.m.
The results will be counted shortly after 9 p.m. and candidates Richard Stein, Anthony Vaglica and James Devane will be at the New Hyde Park Fire Department awaiting to hear the announcement winner.

Candidates Andrew DeMartin, Joe Renta, Daniel Ross and John Nash will gather at the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District headquarters on East Shore Road in Great Neck, NY to hear the results.
