Community Meeting on Sewer Privatization

On Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Nassau County Legislators Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) and Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) are hosting an important community meeting on sewer privatization.

County Executive Ed Mangano’s plan to sell the county’s sewer system to a private company will be heavily discussed, as the legislators will divulge important information regarding its implementation.

The legislators look forward to hearing the community’s thoughts on Mangano’s plan, and sharing facts about why this is a bad idea for Nassau taxpayers. Similar sales have failed around the county, and negatively affected customers in the form of increased rate hikes.
