Mangano: DealerTrack Creating 75 New Jobs in Nassau County

Of the 150 jobs nationwide, nearly 50 percent will be located in Nassau County.

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced in a press conference Wednesday morning that DealerTrack Holdings Inc. will add approximately 75 new jobs to its workforce in Nassau County next year.

Mangano joined Mark O'Neil, chairman and chief executive officer of DealerTrack, a Lake Success-based business, to tout the economic benefits to the region.

Mangano toured the DealerTrack facility in order to demonstrate the commitment to understanding the needs of the small, mid-sized and large business community.

“This is the first time since 2008 — which marks the slowdown of our economy — that DealerTrack has begun adding jobs,” Mangano said during Wednesday’s press conference. “They have [created] 150 new jobs, they have 1,900 employees — 300 here in Nassau County in Lake Success.”

Mangano said the new jobs are a testament to O’Neil’s commitment to Nassau County, and Mangano presented DealerTrack with a citation for December’s “Employer of the Month.”

“It’s been really exciting,” O’Neil said. “We’re a 10-year old company, we started with 20 folks in Nassau County and to grow to 300 over the last 10 years has really been a great journey.”

DealerTrack is a provider of technology solutions and services to the North American automotive retail market.

“It represents jobs and opportunities for those that are struggling to work in the high-tech world and this in Nassau County is certainly a high-tech center and today really marks another day where there’s opportunity and hope for Nassau County’s economy,” Mangano said.
