Marking the Installation of Traffic Light with Project Independence

Legis. Judi Bosworth, D-Great Neck, joined members of Project Independence NNORC (Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) on Monday, March 26, to celebrate the installation of a left turn signal at the intersection of New Hyde Park Road and Union Turnpike.

New Hyde Park resident Hazel Kaufman Pachtman had contacted Leg. Bosworth some time ago to highlight the need for this signal light. Through their determination and working together, along with the cooperation of the Nassau County Department of Public Works, the dream has become a reality.
