McKevitt Addresses New Hyde Park Concerns

The Assemblyman discussed his vote on same-sex marriage and the Nassau Coliseum referendum.

Topics of discussion between the two people who came to the Assemblyman's office hours included illegal immigration, benefits for retirees and the Nassau Coliseum referendum, among other things.

On same-sex marriage, McKevitt voted against it because his constituents told him to. McKevitt added that he has heard from about one hundred constituents that they would not have been opposed to the issue if the word marriage was not used.
