New Hyde Park Village Clerk Patrick Farrell's Replacement To Come

New Hyde Park Village Clerk/Treasurer 's replacement has not been named yet but should be made before the next Village board meeting, said Mayor Daniel Petruccio at Tuesday night's board meeting.

Since in Farrell's absence the Village does not have a clerk or treasurer at budget and election time, the Village board appointed two people to take over those duties. Eileen Raguseo, the deputy treasurer, will handle the budget this year and will manage the election.

Farrell served as clerk/treasurer for before he left to become Village Administrator of Floral Park. He started his new position on Feb. 28. Farrell described his position as being like the chief operating officer of a municipality.
