RESERVED DECISION:

1. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE APPLICATION OF ENCOMPASSING LLC FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AUTOMATED CAR WASH ON 5 BEECHWOOD AVENUE , PORT WASHINGTON, IDENTIFIED ON THE NASSAU COUNTY LAND AND TAX MAP AS SECTION 5; BLOCK 94; LOTS 554, 556, 600, 602 & 699.

CONTINUATIONS:

2. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE APPLICATION OF THE GATE LLC TO CONSIDER A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM "RESIDENCE-A" TO "PARKING" FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED OFF OF NORTHERN BOULEVARD AND THE GATE AND DESIGNATED ON THE NASSAU COUNTY LAND AND TAX MAP AS SECTION 3, BLOCK 220, LOT 2.

Synopsis: The purpose of the proposed rezoning is to expand the existing parking lot for the retail stores to the immediate north. Continued from June 14, 2011 and July 19, 2011.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

3. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING MANOR DRIVE, GREAT NECK, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The adoption of this ordinance will establish Two Hour parking restrictions, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Except Saturday, Sunday & Holidays on the northwest and southeast sides of Manor Drive, in Great Neck.

4. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE RESCISSION AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING ORCHARD STREET, ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The rescission and adoption of this ordinance will allow official vehicles to park in the presently posted Two Hour parking restriction on Orchard Street in Roslyn Heights.

5. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 70 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED "ZONING".

Synopsis: The purpose of the amendment is to modify the regulations in the Residence-C District to allow, as a conditional use, a delicatessen, sandwich shop or bakery along major thoroughfares when authorized by the Board of Zoning and Appeals.

6. A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 52 OF THE TOWN CODE ENTITLED "TAXICABS, LIMOUSINES AND PRIVATE LIVERY VEHICLES".

Synopsis: The purpose of the amendment to Chapter 52 is to modify the requirements for vehicles licensed pursuant to the Chapter to be in accordance with New York State law.

7. A PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO SECTION 29A OF THE TOWN CODE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS AND A WAIVER PURSUANT TO §29A-5.A(1) OF THE TOWN CODE.

Synopsis: The purpose of this hearing is to consider an application for a permit to install a fuel tank at the Shell Service Station, 220 Mineola Avenue, Roslyn Heights, New York, identified on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map as Section 7, Block G, Lot 967.

8. A PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO SECTION 29A OF THE TOWN CODE.

Synopsis: The purpose of this hearing is to consider an application for a permit to install a fuel tank at the Gulf Station, 31 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, New York, identified on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map as Section 2, Block 1, Lot 194.

9. A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING BRYANT STREET, WESTBURY, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The adoption of this ordinance will establish corner parking restrictions on the north and south sides of Bryant Street, east of Tennyson Avenue, in Westbury/New Cassel. Tentative hearing date is August 23, 2011.

10. A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE RESCISSION AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING CENTER STREET, WESTBURY, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The adoption of this ordinance will establish No Stopping parking restrictions on the north side of Center Street, east of Grant Street and on the east and west sides of Hicks Street, south of Union Avenue, in Westbury/New Cassel. Tentative hearing date is August 23, 2011.

11. A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE RESCISSION AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING ALLENWOOD ROAD, GREAT NECK, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The rescission and adoption of this ordinance will establish parking on the south side of Allenwood Road, east of Middle Neck Road, in Great Neck. Tentative hearing date is August 23, 2011.

12. A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AFFECTING THE GATE, MANHASSET, NEW YORK.

Synopsis: The adoption of this ordinance will establish Yield to Pedestrians in Crosswalk signs on The Gate, south of Northern Boulevard, in Manhasset. Tentative hearing date is August 23, 2011.

13. A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN BOARD EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THOSE EMPLOYEES WHO VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME ON SUNDAY, JULY 24, 2011 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ISSUING MARRIAGE LICENSES AND CONDUCTING WEDDINGS.

14. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES.

Synopsis: Authorization will direct the issuance of a request for proposals for traffic engineering services to evaluate traffic flow patterns along Main Street and Shore Road in Port Washington.

15. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COMMISSIONER OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR VARIOUS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TOWN-WIDE.

Synopsis: Authorization will direct the solicitation of the following bids: Transportation for Youth Programs (Community Services) and Guard Rails and Channel Posts (Highway).

16. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LONG ISLAND RADIO GROUP.

17. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CAPITAL DISTRICT TRANSIT AUTHORITY FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO ADA COMPLIANT TAXICABS WITH GRANT FUNDS.

18. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH WELLS FARGO FINANCIAL LEASING, INC. FOR UTILITY GOLF CARTS.

19. A RESOLUTION RATIFYING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH WILLIAMS SCOTSMAN FOR FOUR MODULAR TRAILERS.

20. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGETARY TRANSFERS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2010. 

21. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF A CLAIM(S) AGAINST THE TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE COMPTROLLER OR DEPUTY COMPTROLLER TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.

22. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT, APPOINTMENT, TRANSFER, ADJUSTMENT, CORRECTION, CHANGE IN GRADE OR SALARY, AND/OR TERMINATION OF EMPLOYEES AND/OR OFFICIALS IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE TOWN.

23. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE ROSLYN HIGHLANDS HOOK & LADDER, ENGINE &HOSE CO., ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK, IN ELECTING TO MEMBERSHIP TIMOTHY HUNTER, JASON LECLERE AND NICK LECLERE.

24. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE VIGILANT ENGINE & HOOK & LADDER CO., INC., GREAT NECK, NEW YORK, IN ELECTING TO MEMBERSHIP TERRENCE NG AND KAMYAR MASHIEH.

25. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE FIRE-MEDIC CO., NO. 1, PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK, IN REMOVING FROM MEMBERSHIP DAVID KATZ AND LEAH SILVERMAN AND ELECTING TO MEMBERSHIP ALEXANDER SAVICEVIC.

26. BOND RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK, ADOPTED AUGUST 2, 2011, AUTHORIZING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF VARIOUS ROADS IN THE AREA OF CARLE PLACE IN THE TOWN, STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST THEREOF IS $3,000,000, APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $3,000,000 BONDS TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.

27. BOND RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK, ADOPTED AUGUST 2, 2011, AUTHORIZING VARIOUS STORMWATER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE AREA OF CARLE PLACE IN THE TOWN, STATING THE ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST THEREOF IS $1,000,000, APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $1,000,000 BONDS TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.

28. RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK, ADOPTED AUGUST 2, 2011, AMENDING THE BOND RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON MARCH 10, 2009 RELATING TO THE PREPARATION OF DESIGN PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROPOSED ROAD RECONSTRUCTION IN THE APPLETREE LANE AREA OF CARLE PLACE.
