Members of the Town board celebrated North Hempstead Day on Friday at Clinton G. Martin Park. Approximately 200 students watched members of the board portrayed historical North Hempstead people.
“By breaking away from Hempstead, we declared our individuality," Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman said, in a statement. “As I stand here today, I am encouraged by your enthusiasm and I encourage all of you to find your individuality, be yourself.”
