Question of the Day: Registered to Vote?

The election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Are you registered to vote?

It's election season! The signs are out, flyers are appearing in mailboxes and some may already be thinking of who they'd like to vote for.

According to nassauvotes.com, there are a few ways to register:

  • In-person at the Nassau County Board of Elections, or at any New York State Agency-Based voter registration center.
  • By calling 1-800-FOR-VOTE hotline to request a voter application. You may also pick one up at your local post office, library or motor vehicle office.
  • By downloading a PDF version of the New York State Voter Registration Form (English Form or Spanish Form). Print the form, complete and sign it, and mail it to: Nassau County Board of Elections, 240 Old Country Road (5th flr.), Mineola, NY 11501-4800

The deadline for new registration is Oct. 14. You may either hand deliver or postmark your registration by this date.
