Here are the highlights of the meeting.

If you missed the board meeting on Sept. 20, here are some of the highlights.

  • Trustee Richard Coppola noted that three firefighters are celebrating 50 years of service. They are: Hank Harden of Protection Engine Company #2,  Patrick Murphy of Protection Engine Company #2 and Robert Picciano of Rescue Company. (Pictured are Murphy and Harden).
  • Janet Bevers, Tom Gannon and members of community groups were thanked for their efforts in the . 
  • Deputy Mayor Robert Lofaro said he hopes to have the new dump truck before the next snowfall.
  • There is still some cleanup as a result of Irene.
  • The Village received $52,000 from FEMA, which is being applied to last year's budget.
  • There were 39 building permits in August, which is up from July but down from a year ago.
  • The new Asian Buffet sign was "not entertained", according to Trustee Lawrence Montreuil, because it was too similar to the previous one.
