Choirs from Five High Schools Performed at Sewanhaka Board of Education Meeting

The students performed a few carols for the dozen attendees of the meeting.

Choirs from each of the five high schools in the performed at the beginning of the district's Board of Education meeting.

The students lined the four walls of the Board of Education meeting room when they entered singing Dashing Through The Snow.

The choir members practiced across the hall from the room where the board meeting was held; the meeting started at 8 p.m.

Besides Dashing Through The Snow, the students also performed Jingle Bells and Silent Night, among other songs.

"I would like to acknowledge that the students did an outstanding job this evening," said Superintendent Warren Meierdiercks. He also thanked each of the teachers and leaders of the group who helped with the performance.

"Happy holidays to everyone," said Jean Fichtl, president of the board, as she ended the meeting. "Enjoy your holiday."

The next Board of Education meeting will be Jan. 25 at 8 p.m.
